The Turtles Panel went down yesterday and new york, and while we were unable to attend, the folks over Comicvine.com posted a detailed rundown of what went on the Panel.

“A few jokes later and Ciro got to showcase some sketches for upcoming mutants in the show. One thing is clear — the dude loves TMNT (he remarked on the Mirage comics a few times). He revealed sketches of Donatello’s pet cockroach which tragically suffers not one, but two mutations. We also got a glimpse of Leatherhead and Mousers. Leatherhead looked incredibly intimidating (especially for a kids show) and the Mousers were covered in extremely shiny chrome and the inside of their mouths had vibrant red designs. Speaking of Leatherhead, Ciro showed us a quick (and not complete) video of the team battling the villain. There was no audio, so the voice actors ad libbed some hilarious dialogue and battle cries. ”

The New York Comic Con (NYCC) is underway and the turtles are sure to show up. In fact a dedicated Panel will start in about an hour, hosted by Series Executive producer Ciro Nieli. You can check the below pictures of 2 TMNT influenced hallways:

The folks over at IGN.com have posted a review for yesterday’s excellent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3rd episode, titled: Turtle Temper.

From the review: ” There was some first-rate action this week as well. The fight scenes between the turtles and the Kraang were strikingly slick, but the boss battle with Spider Bytez was equally fun to watch. The multilevel acid dodging was overall just a pretty cool sequence, especially when Raph showed up to join the party. I’m also digging the idea of having these mutant monsters set up as recurring characters; I’m hoping the show will maintain a little more of a serialized vibe, and less procedural. The more character development they can squeeze into this cast — good guys and bad guys alike — the better. Plus, who doesn’t love to hear the cynical ramblings of Lewis Black?

Much like the premiere, this episode had some really funny moments, too. Raph and Mikey’s brotherly roughhousing was a great dynamic. Likewise, the brother’s pestering of Raph with suction-cup arrows during their training scene was pretty hilarious.
